CORN
Corn or maize or maize or maize-popcorn has the scientific name Zea mays... It originates from the American continent where it was already cultivated 5,500 years ago. Its Greek name, "maize", means "the wheat of the Arabs" and was introduced to Greece in 1600 from North Africa.
Maize is used as food for humans and animals. In particular, the green grass helps in the milk production of cows and the dry tops are used for animal feed.
